T’was Fionn Mac Cuahill who said, with his noble tribesmen in-toe, *Lads, they’re after telling me the spiced pumpkin isn’t back until next month, the lazy bastards. Are ye wanting a frappè or wha?*
An American friend was convinced that Ireland was a part of the US. After much slagging etc, we eventually went into Google maps to prove him wrong. Opened Street view in Dublin. Bad idea: McDonalds, burger King, Starbucks, signs in English, American flags etc.
Closed that, and went to Wikipedia instead.
Now he just says that Ireland is part of the “American Empire”
Where is this?
What a disappointment, and I’m an American who drink’s Starbucks coffee only when I’m desperate.
