As if energy prices aren’t bad enough, the costumer support is also absolutely worthless

  1. I’ve been having an issue with Engie (unrelated to prices) for 3 months now. If I call it’s about a 30 minutes wait time, that is, if the queue isn’t full and they just cut you off. Every person I ever spoke to said they would get it fixed. Nothing changed since june.

  2. And the sad reality is, they’re one of the better ones. I suspect they managed to get those five stars on the basis of not sucking as badly as their competition, but that’s a very low bar to pass considering Mega is still in business.

  3. To be fair, the entirety of Belgium is calling their supplier right now because HLN is plastering an unneeded market update in bold letters every day. My contacts working at suppliers are constantly mentioning the madness that goes on in their first line, and hiring/training people for this crisis takes a long time because every word said by a front liner has to be 100% correct and not open for interpretation now. No room for a new person that accidentally says “oh your price is fixed” when you actually have a variable one, in combination with teaching them that 20% of the people calling you will shout at you for no particular reason because they fail to read the most basic of information on their invoice.
