
Each click up of the numbers in black is one kWh (Kilowatt Hour) of electricity. The average Irish home uses 12 per day. Make sure you’re only paying about 22 cent per kWh. I know “Electric Ireland” still offer this if you have both gas+electric with them. “Bord Gáis” is 18 cent per kWh before VAT.

Some offer in the 20s cent per kWh as a discount to new customers or sometimes existing if you ring to change to the deal but standing charge is where they catch you
That’s a fresh meter.
12 kwh is a fair amount too at that. Remember kettles, vacuums and electric heaters will burn 2 kwh per hour so they are heavy users. Its work figuring out what stuff costs and using energy meters on various things to see the draw
