People might’ve seen a few months ago a new law where salary ranges were to be publicly displayed on job advertisements from ‘August 2022’. This is the latest I’ve seen on it;

https://www.europarl.europa.eu/news/en/press-room/20220401IPR26532/gender-pay-gap-parliament-backs-binding-pay-transparency-measures

“Parliament is now ready to enter negotiations on this law as the Council already adopted its position last December.”

Anyone clued in in this area know when it might be expected to see salary ranges displayed on job adverts/salary reports?

  1. No idea but I’ve no doubt when/if this is introduced the ranges will be so broad as to be useless.

    Sure, in my last job the range for my job grade had a €40K difference between top and bottom.

  2. Have they declared their own pay and expenses yet? Transparency might want to begin at home no? Then move to the lobbying.
