The city council of a small town in Brazil 6,000 miles away from Scandinavia voted to publically repudiate a Norweigian ad featuring a gay Santa Claus

  1. Reklamen er grei nok ,men skjønner ikke hvorfor posten kommer med denne vinkelen , virker veldig som di prøver å hoppe på regnbue toget litt seint .

  2. As a brazilian, I am ashamed of Brazil in general and the political direction it took in the last few years. It’s basically a bigoted evangelical theocracy now. I hope that town in particular fucking explodes.

I want to move to scandinavia so hard.

  3. No matter how much mental gymnastics Christians throw at you, it remains a fact that Christmas has pagan roots. As a Christian they shouldn’t even be celebrating Christmas as it is a sin to worship your god in the ways of pagans, for them.

So why Christians don’t like gay Santa, but openly commit a sin by celebrating Christmas is beyond a logical person.

    Edit: bittelitt rett

  5. More people outside Norway are watching this ad that’s made for the local market and is a low key celebration of the 50th anniversary of decriminalisation of homosexuality in Norway.

  6. Don’t tell any religious conservatives in America, or the Republicans will start bombing (your oil would just be a lucky perk)

  7. Not that is makes this whole thing any less stupid, I’d just like to point out that the reported “small town” in the headline would be the largest municipality in the country if it was located in Norway. Just another way perspectives differ between Brazil and Norway, I guess.

  8. Not to rain on their parade, but we don’t even talk or think about it here that much in Norge. It’s an ad. We moved on after.
