Why is this being described as different to a strike? It sounds exactly the same to me
Due to WFH, train companies revenues are down 30%.
Something has to give.
Bailouts or changes.
Good on ’em. Keep up the good work!
From midday on 26th. Strange time compared to last ones. Flying back into the country at 4pm on 27th, just hope I can get home without too many issues
The railway staff walkout and we all get to walk a lot.
Just live somewhere like Bristol and you’ll never be impacted by railway strikes because the rail service is practically nonexistent.
Whether they work or not the trains are rarely on time. I say have at it.
Thankfully it’s the day after I return from a trip. I’d be in huge trouble if I was caught in a train strike hundreds of miles from home
Why haven’t any of the strikes worked yet? It’s annoying as a regular commuter, I support what they’re doing but have they made any progress at all?
In many cases these people are ONLY asking for the same income (adjusted for inflation) as last year.
Why shouldn’t people get the same salary as last year for the same work?
Because sky and the BBC hates the working class
☺️ support our unions, support the strikes.
Remember, never vote Conservative.
Poorly paid food retail workers and logistics should go on strike for a few days, the whole country would implode.
And so the misery continues; thanks guys
If the train operator I use is not one of the 9 on strike, yet Network Rail employees are also on strike, will I still be able to use the train? Most articles seem pretty unclear.
I’m not trying to fuck with the striking employees, just need to arrange alternative means of transport
Solidarity with everyone on strike
I’m a bit confused, is this different to the one on BBC which says 15th Sept?

Google need to create a transport strike calendar that I sync up with.
All power to the strikers!
I just wish they gave them the wages they wanted already so this can stop. It is their right to strike and I’ll respect that
Behind them completely!
This is one of the reasons why the US hates unions. Good on them, keep the pressure!!
In the case of Northern Rail, who’d notice?
Can’t wait for the “strikers cause commuter chaos” headlines.
Under Maggie the railways were nationalised so…
Can we just get rid of this useless transportation system already and invest in mass public access to electric cars?
