Demand for crisis support soars even in wealthy UK towns | UK cost of living crisis

  1. The rich have decided even if you are from a wealthy town, you are a good sacrifice to make them richer this year.

  2. Good, because it seems we are largely a nation of “it’s not a problem until it affects me” types – too ~~blinkered~~ selfish to see what’s going on until we are personally affected.

Treatment of the poor and disabled under this Government has been a fucking disgrace. The corruption under this government has been mind-blowing. But apparently none of that was enough. Too many middle class voters turned a blind eye, or believe the rhetoric that people needing assistance were all scroungers, so they continued voting Conservative, mindlessly choosing to believe the nonsense slogans like “strong & stable”.

Hopefully now we’ll see some positive change.

And for the record I’m middle class and don’t claim any assistance.

  3. Wow who’d have thought blindly complying with increasingly authoritarian government demands for two years which included the shutting down of the country, ‘protecting the NHS’ and printing money like it’s going out of fashion would fuck an entire country up?

I hope this is a harsh fucking wake up call to every apathetic idiot out there, evil flourishes when good people do nothing!
