FYI..you’re not allowed to take a photo of these protected species..
It’s illeagle..
Have any pets? It’d be kinda hawkward if anything happened to them.
I’ve heard about the coming of the rapture. Turns out they meant the raptor.
Fantastic creatures
Not a shite hawk.
Class
Sparrowhawk I think
Is this the Ford Raptor everyone was giving out about?
During the heatwave last summer, I found white feathers scattered all over my garden. I took a look round, and a sparrowhawk was finishing butchering two doves.
Nature is Metal. Scare these fellas away.
Sparrowhawks are amazing to watch. We get one every now and then out our back garden and watch him munching on his food (can be sparrows, starlings, Robins etc).
Beautiful
Gorgeous bird.
He’s scouting bird feeders for prey !!!!!
I’m so jealous I’ve been trying to find one of these to ~~shoot for years~~
EDIT: I meant a photograph
Sparrowhawk I’d say
I GOT A HAWKERY
THAT’S WHERE I KEEP HAWKS
AND IN MY HAWKERY
I HAVE A SPECIAL HAWK
HE’S A SPASTIC HAWK
SPASTIC HAWK
HE’S A SPASTIC HAWK.
SPASTIC HAWK
THE OTHER HAWKS LIKE TO GIVE HIM A HARD TIME
BECAUSE HIS NECK IS BENT AND HIS TALONS ARE DULL
THEY MAKE FUN OF HIM BECAUSE HE’S DIFFERENT
THEY MAKE FUN OF HIM BECAUSE HE’S NOT THE SAME
HE’S A SPASTIC HAWK, SPASTIC HAWK
HE’S A SPASTIC HAWK, SPASTIC HAWK
SPASTIC HAWK
SPASTIC HAWK
BUT YOU SEE MY LITTLE HAWK, HE’S NOT THAT DIFFERENT TO THE OTHER ONES
BUT THEY CAN’T SEE THAT.
FOR IN HIS HEART HE HAS THE EXACT SAME FEELINGS AND DESIRES AS THEM
LIKE PERCHING ON MY HAND AND EATING FROZEN MICE
BUT MOST OF ALL, MY SPASTIC HAWK WANTS TO BE FREE. YEAH.
One of your neighbours birdfeeders is in danger haha
Well, the feeder should be alright, the garden birds not so much
Well fed looking fellow
I was out walking, could hear a crow going crazy squawking in a bush. As I got closer I saw that it was pinned on the ground by a sparrowhawk who was trying to kill it. It looked like one of the crows eyeballs was hanging out of its eye socket. Nature is vicious.
Had one of them sneak attack our bird feeders last week, didn’t get within an assess roar of their prey and almost crashed into our garden furniture.
The one pictured here is a female to the best of my knowledge, bit larger than the males and more of a camouflaged plumage.
Many years ago I was sitting in the kitchen having my breakfast. I thought I saw something shooting down outside the window. A few minutes later I stood up and saw something. I quickly grabbed my camera and [filmed this](https://youtu.be/AD5RQgLfQ0I).
Sparrowhawks are amazing birds. We have loads of Birds of Prey in Cork but Sprawks are a rare find.
I thought this was a buzzard but it looks much too small.
FAB!!
🤔 it has the same look i have when i start my work week. 🤔
Is your name Harry?
He looks like he walked in on his ma banging a pigeon.
It really does not look too impressed with your garden.
Pesky bee!
You’re off to Hogwarts I suppose
Just spent the last few minutes googling hawks cos you reminded me of the one I saw in my (horse) yard a few weeks ago
Wanted to get a pic of him by my horse was too busy having a shit fit at the sight of him

ONE DAY WHEN I WAS FEEDING THE HAWKS,
I OPENED UP THE CAGE.
Deadly. What region you based around?
That’s my pet bird, he answers to Jerome.
Reminds me of this [classic](https://www.theonion.com/kitten-thinks-of-nothing-but-murder-all-day-1819588260)
Wait, you have a garden?
Only joking, great birdy.
