  1. Worked in sea food restaurant a good few years ago when it was on. Fuck me it was hard work. The place was mad busy all day just cooking lobsters. Probably led to me leaving that line of work tbh

  2. Wait til ye see the Wexford Opera festival and what happens to all the normally empty shop fronts…Art Galleries, Art Galleries everywhere

  3. Friends were there yesterday and sent me vids, it looked great. I would have gone if was home, I’ve only eaten lobster a couple of times in my life.

  4. I was there yesterday. It was busy but there was a lovely atmosphere with lots of people bringing kids down and very little sign of trouble

  5. It’s a great festival and one I’ve missed over the past 2 years. It my misses birthday this weekend, so always ties in nicely

  6. It was really nice actually, was talking to one of the organisers and he was saying they think they had more than 10,000 people yesterday which is mad

  7. What does lobster even taste like? I’ve been vegetarian since I was 14 and it’s far from fancy seafood I was reared haha I know what prawns and fish are like I think I’ve tried a mussel? But never crab or lobster. Are they genuinely worth the price? Like is it THAT much nicer than just prawns or whatever?

  8. Instead of it being the biggest helicopter leasing event, it’s the biggest aircraft leasing event

  9. It actually wasn’t half bad. Good atmosphere and packed. The lobster did run out near the end of today though. Good to see some success of a post pandemic festival.

  10. One street stall selling lobster and the queue was the length of dalkey Main Street. What a joke. Why are we always underestimating everything in this country. Can’t organise anything.

  11. Used to work in Supervalu in Dalkey back in college. Lobster festival weekend was always absolute chaos. Whole day of endless queues of people coming in to get cashback and getting really pissy with me for not having enough 50 and 20 notes to give out to everyone. I don’t miss working retail.
