UK museums’ rising energy costs could hamper ‘warm banks’ plan

  1. I wonder when we are going to admit that this country is not working. People having to shelter in museums because they cannot afford to heat seems like a dystopian future, museums not being able to provide that heat seems more like the downfall of society.

  2. There is no cap for businesses of any kind. Everywhere will be hit like this and the likes of musuems, cafes and libraries are going to be hit just as bad as the vulnerable the government are hoping they will help. It’s just like how the food banks will close and we will be unable to feed the vulnerable too.

  3. I still don’t believe ‘warm banks’ are going to be a real thing. How long is a given place going to allow a bunch of people to just sit around? 24/7 in winter or something meaningless like 1 hour per day?
