Politicians charge electric cars at Leinster House for less than half the price public are paying

  1. It’s a workplace charger though, not a public one. Like wait until you find out how much cheaper you could be charging for at home.

  2. Yawn, I’m more bothered about former TDs and Senators getting free parking for life in Leinster House whenever they want to nip into central Dublin.

  3. How it this news? Lots of employers (including mine) allow employees to charge their EVs for free at work.

  4. Clickbait bullshit. Let me fix it:

*”Politicians charge electric cars at Leinster House for the same price you would pay at home. Faster public chargers have a higher price but it’s the same price for everyone.”*

  5. Weird comments in this thread. Absolute bewilderment that politicians get more perks. “non story”, “who cares?”….well if politicians got a 5k pay increase people would wanna know. What’s the difference here?

And this is different from mileage expenses because this will be used for non work purposes.

  6. If this convinces TDs that we need more charging points and the change over to electric is possible then why not?
