    In two magazines, one St. Petersburg and the other foreign, we find an interesting joke.

    These are two series of drawings of faces, which are made only with printing symbols, but nevertheless have a variety of facial expressions.

    They depict as follows:

    cheerful bored indifferent baffled

    cheerful gloomy indifferent baffled

  3. I’m the face on the top right when seeing these proto-emojis , that’s pretty darn cool!

  4. It’s interesting that they mention Russian newspaper and a newspaper from abroad. Warsaw was at that time a part of Russian state apparently.
