Scotland was 96% white in 2011, down from 98.7% in 1991, so perhaps that’s not too far off the demographic.
Author may want to check the demographic of the country..

You can’t force people of specific demographics to attend certain events. Maybe the non-white folks didn’t find the acts particularly funny, or have other hobbies they prefer to engage in at this time of year, like mountain biking in the Cairngorms?
Call me cynical, but I think this article has to be a response to the criticisms people are giving to the Notting Hill Carnival.
