To get to the level of the tunnel, you have to turn and take another escalator of same length.
I was surprised that it is still the old wooden escalators and assume, after King’s Cross there is a lot of fire detection and suppression stuff installed.
First few times using the tunnel was a thrill, but it quickly became kind of boring.
