I’m so jealous of Scotlands politics. While they still have MPs who attend Westmisnter it’s as though unity behind the message of Scottish Independence has steadied them from being pulled down in to the muck with the rest of Westminster. Why can’t Northumbria have the same?
The problem is that when Boris stops being PM the only job left for him to fail upwards into is King and I don’t think anybody wants that.

Keir Starmer said that BoJo is “taking the public for fools”, he is doing exactly that because he knows that is precisely what the public is. If they want to stop being taken for fools, stop acting like it and letting this kind of Christmas Party behaviour slide.

I don’t have the energy to be angry with this government anymore, I’m not disappointed because disappointment requires something to have not met expectations and I had so little expectations of even bare competence for this government that they failed to meet it’s beggars belief.

These people who have sold out the country to the highest bidder to line the pockets of themselves and their friends.

Boris and his entire cabinet lie daily, they are entirely self serving and completely comfortable with being duplicitous.
Boris is a conservative, and conservatives are extremely allergic to personal responsibility & accountability.
Absolutely awful behaviour. People couldn’t even visit their dying relatives in hospital or attend funerals.
Because the level of absolute corruption shown by the conservative party, the public have just developed complete apathy to the point that it’s made the conservatives almost untouchable. Them breaking lockdown rules should be a drop in the ocean of a trespass versus spaffing billions of pounds up the wall in handing out contracts to their pals, but we just expect the corruption, so we accept it when it comes to fruition.
I also keep seeing this notion crop up that it’s never the fault of the public when we don’t hold them accountable. It’s not good enough to say “***well, everyone was manipulated***”. No, if I watch them abuse the power that they have, and then I vote for them in the next election, I’m encouraging that behavior. And the laziest of all justifications being “***Well, still better than Corbyn***”, you know we’ve hit a low point when to justify their actions, we’re having to compare them to a leading government that never even existed.
He’ll never resign. He’ll just carry on passing the blame, all the way through the PMQs he was still dodging every question thrown to him. Consistently blaming labour for their shortcomings. Always looking for blame outwards without looking internal.
Honestly? I hope he stays in, I hope he pulls out every dirty trick in the book to do so, and I hope it all happens out in the open because at this point that is the only way some people will ever realise that they don’t have to sit back and let the government fuck them.
