Europeans worry cost of living crisis will cause social unrest: survey

  1. Our governments need to do more to help their citizens. Otherwise it’s hardly unexpected that there will be unrest.

  2. Cost of living? Really? There is war in Europe. During war normal people do not discuss prices but ways to save lifes.

  3. Can somebody please make the world go back to the 80s and 90s and never let it go of those decades ever again? I’m so tired of these shitty times, I just want to live peacefully and have something to look forward to other than misery and suffering.

  4. Was it worth it for the EU politicians to sacrifice in a total undemocratic way the well-being of their citizens for a country that is neither in the EU nor in nato?

Edit: guys, you can downvote me as much as you want, this won’t change the fact that NATO has its fair share of responsabilities in this war (as Russia btw) and that declaring an economic war on Russia was inconsiderate given how unprepared we are thanks to decades of mismanagement.

Giving up on nuclear energy without thinking about viable alternatives was and is criminal. But that’s the problem when ideology is totally disconnected to reality.

  5. What social unrest? I can’t speak for other countries, but I live in Poland, and I’ve been hearing this argument “Oh no, now they’ve crossed the line, people will protest” for ages, and so far, nothing has happened.

Most people won’t put their lives and career on the line to arrange 3-week long protests, because common sense always prevails. I can’t believe a Euromaidan-like protest will ever happen in my country. People still have to get up in the morning, to make money and feed their children.

  6. Maybe a little discomfort here and there will make them finally care a bit for their citizens. 😉

  7. In Netherlands, my gas and energy bills increased from 150 euro a month to 520 euro a month, the government is doing not enough to intervene this.
