Boris Johnson Blocks Investigation into His Attendance at Downing Street Lockdown Parties

  1. They won’t confirm whether the Cabinet Secretary, who is chairing the investigation, attended these parties lmao

Surely the investigation should be already done

    1. Was I there? Yes

    Report complete.

  2. Hahaha… proves he’s guilty and doing his usual “I’m the Dictator” act.

“No-one can investigate me as it will prove that I’m guilty”…. “I’m above the law and I can do whatever I want, so fuck you all”…. CON +10

Edit…. the only rule left in the UK is “Do as ordered by dictator Boris”

  3. Where else could he have been?

He both lives and works there. The country was under a stay at home order.

They are playing us for fools.

  4. > However, a spokesperson for Johnson later told Byline Times that the investigation would only cover the circumstances surrounding the 18 December party which the Prime Minister reportedly did not attend, and not another party during the second national lockdown on 27 November, which he reportedly did attend.

So now there _was_ a party on the 18th? Shocker.

  5. Seems like something he shouldn’t be able to do.

Also seems like you wouldn’t block an investigation unless you didn’t like the result you would get.

  6. Government departments have spent at least half a million pounds since 2016 trying to block the release of information under transparency laws, an investigation has found.

  7. Anyone else catch his slip in the press conference? “We, I mean erm er, I have been informed all rules were adhered to.” Fucking moron.

  8. I’m not saying the party happened and he was in attendance, however this is clearly misreading the national mood and certainly suggests he has something to hide. If it did not happen, like he claims, then he has nothing to worry about and only things to gain by allowing an investigation to prove that. This move just screams ‘something to hide’.
