So in other news the Met Police continue to be a useless pack of bastards.
The problem with this country is that in spite of everything, most people will still vote Tory. It’s the real plague. Stupidity.
Fuck sake, can we just crowd fund a private investigator… all these pricks need to pay their fines.
Add it to the growing list of reasons not to vote tory, only to be scoffed at and hear the usual “least they’re not Labour” or “they’re all the same anyway”.
No one trusts the Government. No one trusts the police. What a great position to be in.
I can’t imagine how the police didn’t already know there was a party in Downing Street considering there’s police officers posted at every entrance to the place
So, was she at one of the parties? Or is it because she’s accountable for her staff checking everyone in and out of each event?
Well… yeah?
The problem is that this is simultaneously:
a minor criminal offence which we wouldn’t expect the Met to investigate for a typical non politically significant case. Can you imagine if you called the Met to report that your local branch of TK Max had an office party 12 months ago?
a completely outrageous betrayal of people’s trust (along with l the rest of them…) which is fundamentally political
…and that we rightfully don’t allow the police to take political importance or media attention into account in their decisions.
We can’t expect the police to solve a political problem for us.
As if we didn’t already know this was going to be the result.
The police would refuse to investigate even if there was a trail of blood coming out of the front door of no 10 with a labour MP’s head nailed to the door…”nothing to see here, natural occurrence”
How could they if they were stood outside the front door inviting people in and making a note of their names? Partners in crime perhaps???
Of course they won’t. The government tells them what to do.
Hahaha. Now even angry, fed-up Tory voters can’t do anything but watch the shitshow that they caused unfold. All the while no one will be held accountable.
Hope your damp squib Brexit and less foreigners were worth it guys.
> Downing Street unwilling to clarify whether Cabinet Secretary Simon Case, who is investigating the lockdown-busting Xmas party in No 10, was at the party himself
Yvette Cooper response
>This is totally ludicrous.
>How can they possibly not know the answer to this question?
>If the answer is that he wasn’t at the party, they should be able to say so immediately.
>If the answer is that he was, then this is even more of a sham than we thought.
So the met won’t investigate unless this Simon Case who probably was at the party in question “finds something”.
Stalinesque
There should be riots.
The government are corrupt. The police are corrupt.
Any other country would have had a civil war a long time ago.
But at least everybody can vote the same government back into power in three years time for the exact same shit that’s happening now.
The people of the UK are a lost cause.
Of course they won’t because it will mean throwing some of their own officers under the bus
What a fucking surprise.
The Met and Cressida Dick are a joke.
They are looking increasingly complicit which is pretty worrying.
Of course. The police and the media do not serve the public, they serve the political class.
too busy arresting people at vigils for lone women murdered by policemen, I don’t blame them, bless them.
Like they won’t investigate prince andrews peadophilia. The police are not your friends, the government is not your friend. The police is the governments friend, the government is the polices friend.
Because they 100% know it happened. They were running security for it.
With every new government scandal (and there has been a lot lately) all I can do is simply roll my eyes because I know that nothing will ever get done about it.
As a country, we complain about this in the media and on social media but what can we ACTUALLY do about it when the people who are meant to do something about it refuse to?
What a horrible country this has become, makes me embarrassed to even be English.
Of fucking course. The met chief is part of the Tory self-serving class.
To be quite honest they’ve got better things to do. Plus the worst they could hand out is a large fine and the government cancelled most of those.
Very busy abducting women and arresting peace protesters. Can’t be investigating levels of fraud that resulted in multibillion £ theft of taxpayers money and a death count via policies and indifference that are worse than a war. The party celebrating and laughing at us was the cherry on the cake.
Wait what, there’s alleged white collar crime and the Met won’t investigate? Why am I not surprised?

I must immediately sit down. The shock is overwhelming.
Can see why Cressida Dick kept her job after the last round of fuck ups.
***BOOM!***
Was always going to be a big, fat nothing. Now we also know that Dick was kept on, they have her by the balls and can get any decision they want.
one of the lighter reactions on twitter before this news came out:
>[@BorisJohnson I voted for you, and seriously wish I didn’t. How you tricked us all into thinking you were a good fit I don’t know, but you’re a bigger scum bag than the police](https://www.republicworld.com/world-news/uk-news/uk-pm-boris-johnson-faces-flak-after-attempt-to-impress-by-dressing-up-as-policeman-fail.html)
