  1. What a well thought out and clever form of protest. Clear goals with clearly known consequences.

  2. I mean the paper counts for nothing burn it all you want you’ve already used the fuel if you don’t pay you’ll just end up cut off or worse

  3. /r/Ireland: “We’re a nation that just moans but never protests, if we were in France Leo’s head would be on a spike by now”

Also /r/Ireland whenever a protest or demonstration occurs: “ah what’re you going to achieve with that, no clear goals, sure look at the state of the type of people protesting nobody would listen to them…”

  4. As i understand it Italy has a high install rate for smart meters . They can electronically be converted to pre pay and therefore bypassing the process of cutting people off . Coming soon to a house near you.

  5. this will happen and needs to happen across europe and you can be sure as hell the medias won’t report on it at all

  6. I watched that video on mute while the song “wouldn’t it be nice” was playing on the telly, couldn’t help but laugh.

  7. Can anybody explain why the government won’t subsidise the cost of electricity considering they own the esb ? Or am I wrong in that assumption. Wasn’t irelands tax revenue the highest in its history the last two years in a row. Isn’t there a rainy day fund waiting to be used?

  8. This winter is gonna be mad I’d say. We need a proper revolt. But also I need the kettle for a cup of tea. It’s conundrum
