Everytime I’ve flown Ryanair I’ve femt cheated at the end. I might pay more for another airline, but at least I won’t feel scammed at the end.
The quote (of course) is more nuanced. They don’t want Ryanair to leave, but they must abide by certain rules.
Quite happy with his response TBH, we shouldn’t just agree to whatever O’Leary tells us. It’s a common tactic with him to make large insinuations to pressure governments into supporting him.
Honestly: fuck Ryanair. I don’t mind low-cost. But their business model is indeed to be vague in pricing to drive up ticket prices while refusing to pay for close to anything else. Ryanair leaving Belgium might actually make air travel a bit more expensive but a lot more comfortable
I wont miss them. Hidden fees everywhere. Bad service. And flying shouldnt be cheap. Not to mention they dont care for their employees.
Another company will fill the gap, hopefully with better conditions for their exployees.
The main issue if Ryanair leaves Belfium is that prices for Brussels Airlines will go up.

I only flew with them once and it was a shit experience every step of the way.
However, it did allow me to have a vacation on a tight budget and I’m afraid that without ryanair, some people won’t have a vacation at all.

At least I’m happy that there is a growing intolerance with the public for exploitative working conditions. Although I’m pretty sure the usual N-VA lackeys will show up in the media denouncing those lazy walloons and saying we need less social protections in Belgium… .
Why tf are people defending them? It’s not like they’re the only airline in the history of humanity who have ever offered cheap flights, either their fares are unsustainable, meaning that if they’d stay ticket prices are going to increase anyway, or they are sustainable, in which case their departure is a massive opportunity for some other morally corrupt airline to take their market share.
They have already moved many of their flights to Belgium to other bases abroad with lower crew costs, they pretty much refuse to pay the few employees remaining here according to the law and ignore the unions, their planes are registered in countries where it’s cheaper to do so and they don’t pay any tax on jet fuel. They aren’t even that good for our employment or economy to begin with.
Additionally they’re a part of a very powerful European airline lobby group who have managed to blow up so many initiatives to actually make flying fairer or more sustainable so they wouldn’t even need your defense to begin with if they were in any actual trouble.
Would you travel to Schiphol or CdG first to get a Ryanair flight for €100 less if they moved?
