Limerick city centre is utterly devoid of life after 6pm tbh.
There’s no cafe or restaurant scene and while there are some decent pubs, there’s no single street or area that pulls together a bit of Nightlife.
I know everyone looks back on their era as the best, but the decline in the nightlife in the city since the mid 90s is stark.
That said, Farmacia, the Commercial, 101 and a few other spots are brilliant bars but are they enough.
A city with 3 universities, some great employers and an utterly dead city centre.

Last time I was in Limerick was in 2016 on a Friday night. Better times I assume, place was hopping. Can’t remember which pubs I was in or how I got back to Dublin that morning but it was great craic all the same

You are in the Wickham Tap. Never been in but I pass it on the regular. I was in town a while ago and there was a very strange vibe. Maybe it was the early autumn evening light. Nice pic tho. What’s the pub like? I don’t go for pints in town much anymore.
Is that street ever bustling? I dont know limerick.

Looks deader than a midlands village.
I collected my partner from Roches St at 9.45pm and drove through the streets and it was fairly busy then. To be honest Limerick City seems like way more craic than Ennis these days.
