I know that it’s forbidden to drink alcoholic Beverages and that those are quite expensive for tourists.

So which are ones have the best price-quality ratio and they are easy to find? Also, can [Absinthe](https://www.redseastar.com/beverages-to-try-in-switzerland/) be found in the stores?

  1. My vote for best beverage goes to Monsteiner Bier, _although I may be biased_.

Purchase of alcohol is legal from the age of 16. Not sure where you got the idea from that it’s illegal.

Edit: for non alcoholic beverages: Rivella Red, Schörle, “en kafee”

  2. I’ve seen the occasional Absinthe at Coop, but I’m guessing it’s cheap stuff. Definitely not a common occurrence. They have insane amounts of wine, and some beer. Here in Zurich, wine drinkers seem to prefer Italian wines.

    So: (1) water, (2) wine.

  3. Lie de vie, it’s basically grappa, farmers use it to massage the cows. White wine from the French side, chasala grape from lavaux region which tastes like angels tears. there is fondent which is mass produced in valis region, same grape, drinkable, cheaper.

Not really. This ain’t Sweden. But restaurants charge a fortune for wine. Thus, get it from the shop. While wine, beer, and hard cider can legally be sold to 16 years old, most store have a self restriction and sell all kind of alcohols only to person which are at least 18 years old.
