  1. Have you tried unplugging it?

If that doesn’t work you could try running a short cycle and see if it unlocks when that cycle is done.

Or maybe when you run the short cycle see if you can hit the pause button while the add garment light is on and see if it unlocks.

  2. Well, a locked door usually mean the program/cycle haven’t completed yet, or the machine thinks there’s standing water in there.

Try selecting e.g. a spin cycle (sentrifugering), let that complete and see what happens.

  3. If emptying it through a cycle doesnt work, you should be able to drain it(onto the floor, so keep towels, etc handy) by removing the filter. The ones Ive had was bottom right on the front, you need to open it and pull out a cylinder like filter.

  4. I feel your pain, my old LG clothes washer was equally cryptic and if it had a power outage or other error before draining the water there was no obvious way to get the door open, the trick after lots of trial and error was to power it on, not touch the program selector button, turn the spin cycle button until the display said 0 rpm and hit go to make the machine just drain the water and unlock. I don’t think it was even described in the instruction manual.

I wonder why they had to make it so damn cryptic, would it be so hard for them to put a dedicated “empty water and unlock door” button on there? Imagine the panic if you discover your phone, wallet or cat inside the machine with no way to get the door open…

  5. Here’s something that helped me when i first moved here..

The Google Translate app has a live picture translation mode… in that it can translate from images.

    Your welcome 😀

  6. Just come closer and clearly say: drit

    It will voice activate …

“Drit” it’s Norwegian “unlock” or “sesame open”.
