Was working in the garden when I ran into a typical garden spider (kruisspin, épeire diademe). Thought I would just move it, animal lover that I am. But this little mf actually bit me. Bit stingy but it’s fading now.

  2. Fairly certain we were thought ALL spiders can bite, but that one is very prone to in kintergarten excursions to the local bio klas.

Its the main reason i displace spiders with toilet or kitchen paper.

  3. Do they also bite the inside of your mouth when they enter it in your sleep? (/s, yes I know this is not true)

  4. I feel old because I’m having such boomer thoughts: “how can you not know? Did your parents never let you play outside? Did you never try catching animals and insects with your hands?”

  5. They’re predators, of course they can bite? Most domestic spiders can’t penetrate the skin though, so it’s almost irrelevant.

  6. Yes, they bite people when they feel threatened.

They also don’t enjoy loud noises. If you stand in front of a web with one of these in the middle, and “booooo” loudly, they raise their front legs ready for attack.

Basically, leave them alone and they will leave you alone. If you want to move them, use gloves.
