Ozzy Osbourne moving back to UK as he’s ‘fed up’ with US mass shootings

  1. > Ozzy said: “Everything’s f****** ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings.
    >
    > “And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s f****** crazy.”
    >
    > “And I don’t want to die in America,” he added. “I don’t want to be buried in f****** Forest Lawn.

    > “It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now.”

    If anything, he is fascinating…

    > The couple have previously said that increasing taxes in the US could force them to come back to the UK.

    😂

  2. It was in a Guardian interview that I read today. Although they said it wasn’t anything to do with his health, I suspect it’s exactly because of that.

  3. Ozzy is practically immortal as it is anyway. I doubt he has to fear death, the Grim Reaper must be a close friend of his given how close he has come to death but survived over the years.

  4. America is a great place to make money and visit scenery wise but no chance I want to live there because of Americans and the divide there. A nice house in a sleepy suburb in the UK is my dream.

  5. I hope he does come back… and settle back in Brum. My dad’s cousin used to live down the road from him, back in the late 50s/early 60s when he was a boy. Used to know his family quite well apparently. He’s a proper Brummie Legend, along with the other chaps from Sabbath.

  6. Bro my heart died seeing “Ozzy Osborne” in the Reddit news trending, but it’s weird that now he draws the line on school shootings and in general with USA shenanigans. We are the “Kyle” of countries

  7. I would imagine the roe v Wade decision really must’ve put a nail in the coffin in terms of American unity, at least for the time being. America has been becoming increasingly polarised on a range of issues from the 2020 election to gun rights, but adding abortion to the mix I think made it even more toxic. Sad

  8. This smells of a Fictitious PR OP via Sharon, nothing more.

If they really gave a 💩 they would’ve moved after Columbine/when their kids were still in school.

  9. I’m guessing that Ozzy does not live anywhere near where these shootings happen, but hears about it often as he watches a lot of television.

If he wanted to actually do something: He’s a celebrity that is capable of generating a lot of money, quickly, that could help organisations reduce the frequency of it i.e. mental health services, and destigmatising it. Having a public whine instead helps nobody.

Couple of good DC ones here (highest rate of school shootings in USA) https://greatnonprofits.org/city/washington/DC/category:mental-health/sort:review_count/direction:desc

  10. Ozzy doesn’t need NHS.

    Sadly, he has a point.

Awesomely, that man is more in tune with the now than scores of politicians that never had as good a time being themselves.
