  1. We are sorry Europe. Please remember only the 170k Conservative members could vote, this has nothing to do with the rest of us.

  2. Not really a surprise it was a foregone conclusion. This lady has me wishing for Boris. She’s an economic nightmare.

  3. I’m Bosnian and I kinda hoped for Liz Truss as she promised to help our country and already sanctioned two pro-Russian Serbian politicians in Bosnia in April. Had Rishi Sunak won I think the support towards such countries prone to Russian threats would be much weaker. Referring to foreign policy.

  4. The UK desperately needs competent leadership. Instead, it got someone so inept that make even Johnson look like Prime Minister material.

  5. Sound leader for the country. She’s adept enough to win the race and has her party behind her on trade, taxes, Ukraine and the EU.

She’ll be out at the next election due to winds of change, but the UK will do ok by her.

  6. Don’t understand why Liz is perceived to be so much worse then Rishi. This Reddit probably hates all where both of them stand for. Atleast Liz has the benefit of being tough on Russia.

Still Tory has a majority and it’s their party that decided who is going to be next PM. UK gave their vote to Tory some years ago and, in compliance to the UK rules, whether you like them or not, the Tories will be in charge until the next election. Including them deciding who is going to be the next PM. In this case the Tories being represented by the 170k party voters deciding for Liz.

  7. So it is pretty certain that either way she won’t be PM too long and that Labour might win the next election?

Lets rejoice, instead of Kremlin-asset and anti-west imbecile Corbyn, Labour is headed by a pro-NATO, pro-US, pro-sanctions leader who indeed actually looks like a competent person.

  8. Honest question: Why are people in the comments so negative about Liz Truss becoming the next UK PM? (I haven’t followed politics recently, sry)

  9. UK is so utterly fucked, I’m so happy I left this year before even more shit hit the fan.

A labour government can’t come soon enough, tories have absolutely destroyed the UK.
