Lithuania ranks 4th for most weeks of paid parental leave in the world

  1. Grazi statistika, bet ji neparodo kokios yra ismoku lubos. IMHO geriau maziau savaiciu kompensuojant pilnai prarastas pajamas nei daug savaiciu mokant centus. Moterims turincioms gerai apmokamus darbus motinystes “atostogos” ypac skausmingos finansiskai.

  2. Still not nearly enough. Getting less than 50% of your normal income while having your spending needs increased is bullshit. Having 1,5 years of paid leave when 2 years is earliest age when a child is allowed to attend kindergarten. So depending on month of birth, you may need to hire a nanny for 1 full year or leave your job until the child comes of age.

Country should invest in families and incentivise making babies. Workforce shortage will cause more damage than spending, increased workforce will greatly offset the spending.

  3. Reiktu didziuotis, gera infrastruktura, jei tokia butu. Dabar mazos ismokos, ilgas laikotarpis, o vaiku kur deti uz priimtina kaina, nera. Valstybe nenori investuoti i normalia lopseliu infrastruktura, kuri yra puiki valstybese, kur prieziuros laikotarpis yra zymiai trumpesnis, pvz Beneluxe.

  4. Great usa garbingoj pirmoj nuo galo:). Na siaip kai kuriose valstijose gauna apmokamu (dalinai) motinystes atostog. Tiesiog nera federalinio reikalavimo atostogoms.

  5. Its easy to rank 4 when u get paid cents. For example sweden allows to split parental leave between both parents which is way more balanced in my opinion.

  6. Gal as kazko nepagaunu bet galai nesueina sitoj statistikoj, kai kuriose salyse. Pvz Svedijoje tevas ir motina turi po 240 dienu. Is ju 90 rezervuota kiekvienam, o kitas gali perduot motinai arba tevui. Turbut netaip interpretuota nors grafikas grazus. Take it with a grain of salt.

  7. I’m from the usa. And I can already hear the idiotic managers and supervisors calling and harassing pregnant women to come into their job or lose it. Happens all the time. Theres no boundaries and people on the working class are miserable in the usa
