We got it the first two times you’ve posted it.
So are you going to tell us how gruesome it was?
Sorry, it’s taken me some time to post the explanation because it seemed the post was not approved. In fact, I’ve send it three times with different pictures.
The original one [was this](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b1UZR_dl1-Q/R_00XZaMaeI/AAAAAAAAAII/vpo__V6WAPI/s640/Joan+Canyamars+1.jpg), the one I really prefered! No, not drawn by my little nieces. But drawn on the day.
Joan¹ de Canyamars had fought on a war called «la Guerra dels Remences», the war of the farmers bound to the land, the indentured farmers. At the end of the 1st war the serf had won the end of the serfdom, but when Ferdinand came to power, forced by the lords, declared it anticonstitutional. There was a 2nd war which the serfs won again, but they did not like the king and considered him a traitor. That ended in 1486.
In 1492, the 7th of December, in the plaça del Rei (square of the King), Ferdinand and Isabella were leaving the Santa Àgueda chappel. Joan de Canyamars attacked the king directly to the kneck with a knive. He cut him, but not deadly.
Joan has aprehended and tortured. He got naked, put on a cart, bound to a stick an a promenade started alond the city, stopping in several squares. In each a mutilation hapened. An eye, the other one, the nose, an arm…
All of this, of course, in the middle of the crowd, shouting and enjoying, while throwing pointy stones.
At about the end, they did what in the Vikings series called the eagle or something like this. From the back, the cut his ribs, opened them, and removed his heart.
Finally, burnt the cart with him on top, up to the ashes.
In ancient times it was said he was insane, later, he was considered more like a patriot or a revolutionary.
¹ Joan, in Catalan, is a male name (as Johan in German, for example), not female as en English.
Reminded me this one mission from Assassins Creed 2 when a guy gets stabbed multiple times after exciting a church. Guess it was a fashionable thing to do in that time period.
that title is clickbaity and does not deliver

why yu do dis…
**As punishment, he was driven, on top of a trolley where he was placed tied naked to a pole, through several streets of the city. The cart was stopping from time to time and each stop corresponded with a mutilation: first one eye, then the other, now the nose, then an arm… The crowd, especially young people and children, enthusiastically participated in the plea. Outside the city, they lamwered it without removing it from the carriage and finally, amid members of the public, set fire to the carriage, which is reduced to ashes.**
