Boris Johnson says ‘stop playing politics’ over Downing Street Christmas Party – The Big Issue

  1. A party at the heart of the political establishment attended by politicians and political advisors, during a political mandated lock down banning parties is not political?

    Glad we cleared that up!

  2. Yes. Please stop playing Politics Boris. It’s not actually a game but real life.

And even if it was a game. You’re absolutely shit at it.

  3. I will never not find it amusing when politicians use some variation of the phrase where acting political is a negative.

  4. Fucking useless hypocrite. Time to march on parliament and drag those useless smug fucktards out of there.

  5. What an embarrassing PMQs that was. Boris accusing Keir Starmer and Ian Blackford of “playing politics” about 5 times in a row. Why yes, Boris, it’s almost as though they are, in fact, politicians, and playing politics is literally their fucking job.

How the country can continue to support the Conservative Party at this point genuinely astounds me. You have to be either outright evil or have your head stuck so far in the sand that you can feel the heat of the Earth’s core.

  6. Lmfao “playing politics”. Dude is the leader of the UK and he denied this party even took place while the general public lost loved ones in isolation and his colleagues all had a merry fucking laugh about it. If the opposition had been in power he’d be euphorically fanning the flames right now.

  7. Stop playing politics? When his job is the leader of a political party in a profession called politics, which centers around politics. Not sure that response will fly tbh.

  8. This is just the standard response anytime a politician is caught in a lie though isn’t it? The other side is playing politics, or ‘political point-scoring’. It just means you don’t have to justify your shitty actions.

  9. This answer means he has once more nothing serious to say. Mini trump remains a pale copy of the real one. But as disgusting for sure. Down with bojo the clown!

  10. He just wants to stop playing politics and get the job done.

Of fucking course he does, as the longer this goes on, the more voters will wake up to what a cesspit of corruption the Tory party really is.

  11. It is the stock in trade answer as soon as he is backed into a corner and can’t lie his way out of it. Switch the blame to someone else / narcissism = “you’re just playing politics now and we are busy trying to do the right thing”*. (* = read “lying to you about the latest shitshow and hoping we don’t get found out about it”.)

  12. Politician tells politician to stop playing politics in argument over a matter of government policy in Parliament.

    Kay.

  13. Not every damning piece of evidence is political Blagger Johnson needs to realise that actually good honest moral values transcend all politics and he and his ilk in the Cons are disgusting failures by any measure.

  14. Wait until he finds out what the job of Prime Minister actually entails. It might explain why he has never really stepped up to the job though, he clearly does not want to play politics himself and so delegates that to other people at Number 10.

  15. People who didn’t realise politicians and their staff are a bunch of arseholes, welcome to the real world.

Personally I don’t give a fuck about the downing st Xmas party, must be another slow news day.
