Yesterday in an Auobahn intersection between Braunschweig-Hannover (Autobahn 391- Autobahn 2), I came across a confusion. Basically there is a very short ramp which is used both as an exit as well as entry to the Autobahn. Exactly when I wanted to exit the Autobahn 391 to join the 2, a car which had accelerated (and was indicating left) on the same merging lane (Which is my exit lane) wanted to join. How do you safely coordinate this? There were line of cars behind this car who wanted to join the highway too. I somehow managed this but I was not sure I how I could have avoided this confusion. I strongly feel that if either one of us does not cordinate perfectly it could lead to dangerous sitauations and hence I would like to know how to deal with such situations in the future. Should I just skip the exits in such situations?
I am a new driver so hope you forgive me if you find this question stupid.
