> The lower rates will become possible once the European Parliament is consulted on the agreement which could take until March 2022.
That’s my Christmas family shopping done then.
EU commission might steal a little bit less of your own money, as long as you spend it on what the commission wants
>European Union finance ministers agreed on Tuesday to change EU rules so that they can cut the Value Added Tax (VAT) on goods and services linked to fighting climate change, health protection and making the EU more ready for the digital age.
I’m confused, does the European Union collect taxes?
What has the EU ever do for us?
What?
…
Well, apart of the 24-month warranty, the universal device charger and the consumer protection, what have they ever done for us?
No VAT on internet access seems rather pointless. I can’t fathom anyone in Europe shunning internet access because of its price? It’s cheap as heck anyways. I mean, I’m not gonna say no to, like, a couple of euros extra per month? But in the grand scheme of things it’s meaningless, I very much doubt it’s gonna make even the slightest difference in “making the EU more ready for the digital age” (Which btw sounds like something someone would have written 20 years ago lol).
