My 95 y/o Nan had to spend Christmas day alone, for the first time in her life (& since my Grandad died), and these fucking cunts are laughing about breaking rules *THEY FUCKING SET* – all for a shitty party so they can have a lovely little fucking circlejerk.

I didn’t see my mum for over a year because of covid. Managed to make it to her funeral though. Then I watch this and “enraged” doesn’t even begin to cover it.

My girlfriend had left the UK to visit her family in Holland on the 15th December, was supposed to be a week tops ended up being 3 months till she came back home.

Ms Stratton laughs, looking down, before responding, “what’s the answer?”
Staff then attempt to help the PM’s former spokesperson formulate a response.
“It wasn’t a party, it was cheese and wine”, replies one.
“Is cheese and wine alright?” Ms Stratton asks. At that point the staff member who made the cheese and wine comment seems to say “No… joking”.
Ms Stratton adds “it was a business meeting”, as she laughs again.”

My grandfather died alone last year (not from COVID). My grandmother only managed to get into see him because my doctor aunt was an intermediary with the care home.
Such things as this make me so angry.
