I wonder how the increase in energy bills will play out here. As nurseries close down how many parents will be forced out of the workforce?
*where 98% of the staff are female*
I am a man working in supported living and probably could make the jump having the majority of skills required but won’t simply because of my gender. I would feel under constant suspicion
“Our [insert any] sector is on the brink of collapse” reflects most public and private services
> 3 day school week
Stop with this bs. It’s been all over the news recently. No one is proposing a reduced school week.
Part of me thinks it’s being pushed to tacitly fuel the, “lazy teachers,” narrative in preparation for the potential upcoming strikes.
Our whole damned country is on the brink of collapse. But our government is entirely absent, and the potential leaders are more interested in policing who uses which toilets and claiming solar farms are an eyesore, rather than being actually interested in the business of governing the country.
Apart from debt recovery, is there any sector in the UK that’s not on the brink of collapse at the moment?
Add it to the pile.
What isn’t on the verge of collapse these days this country needs a one big reset
I think it has already collapsed. Here in my county, so many have closed due to Covid its simply unbelievable and now, with inflationary pressures on wages, food and utilities, I think what survived Covid will also be wiped out.
It is truly unbelievable how the government is failing an essential industry like this. If they are early year’s they, fall through the cracks and get no support.
