  1. John Redwood@johnredwood Nov 19, 2018 We knew exactly what we were voting for. It is insulting to say that 17.4 million people were too stupid to know what out would look like .

  2. When will people finally grasp the easy concept, that they are now in a different market? They can no longer just jump on the ferry with whatever they want, and expect not to be charged at the other side what is due. Little does it matter if what they are importing to the EU is for charity, or a sister’s wedding. It is an import, and unless you can prove it is fully made in the UK with British materials, it is subject to tariffs.

  3. Why would they need to do the event outside the UK after brexit?
NOBODY even thought of checking customs rules after brexit? Even just for curiosity?

  4. You left the block. Go ride around Wales.

The privileged entitlement of the people suggesting they shouldn’t pay tariffs need to get a better understanding of international laws, and realise they are not exempt because they are British.

  5. That’s how customs everywhere work.

You can bring all that stuff individually ‘in person’ without any problems (but having a receipt both ways is useful to carry with you), if you ship it separately then you must have ‘a’ customs declaration, even for a temporary import, with owner’s names, frame numbers, destination, and in this case duration.

*It is even useful to do that while staying inside the EU.
Police, when spotting a white van filled with expensive carbon bikes, tend to get inquisitive.*
