On fracking, with the complexity of planning laws in the UK I will eat my shoe if there is any fracking in the next decade
The UK is a leader globally in offshore wind, bigger than China or US, and its latest CfD auction was a success (including supporting solar). Those policies will not be reverted

Of course it is depressing. You should built according to your strengths (offshore wind) rather than waste money, material, time and effort on something that is as little efficient as possible. Imagine wasting massive amount of agricultural land that could be used for something else for massive solar farms just because it is “in” in circles of greens just for the sake of it on something this inefficient.

But that is not unusual with green lobby people who never shut up about someone else doing wrong things while actively sabotaging everything and making entire situation worse – “she is so evil for saying solar farms are depressing on ***agricultural*** land in country with least efficient solar resources, we must cancel her”. Same like when greens were against nuclear as “dirty source of energy” when the only alternative was coal and gas and renewables were not even a thing back then. Brainless tards that do nothing else other than making situation worse.
E: And same exact thing with that Green PM bs linked in article “Her plans to encourage more North Sea oil and gas does nothing to help households this winter. But *it will absolutely fuel* the climate crisis,” as if that oil or gas would not have been mined and imported from elsewhere because UK will need it for coming decades regardless of what happens now, it can not change. And it would be mined under zero regulations in dictatorships + shipped with massive shipping extra emissions and being dozens times more damaging to the planet and climate crisis as a whole than if it is done in UK, under UK regulations while also giving UK people jobs.
But yes who cares right. She did not think that far because she does not have mental capacity to do so. Or maybe she just does not give a shit about global warming at all, she cares about it happening in her own backyard rather than help to reduce impact as a whole.
