He does make a good point that if Truss does anything to help it will count big in her favour. Remember how badly Johnson screwed up the covid response? Well now half the country are convince the conservatives “did a good job” thanks to their relentless lying. They could well pull this off again if Truss manages to bumble on until the pressure eases.

I know it’s not popular on Reddit to support a conservative but I like that she uses mental arithmetic as a test for potential civil servants. It’s shows some level of standards being applied rather than this mushy inclusiveness that insists that everyone is good at everything.
