This is a picture of my grandmother’s family from the old country (I live in the United States). They emigrated around 1912, but we’re not sure where they are from anymore. My grandmother says she is Czech/Slovak and they lived in Prague. However, I recently had an ancestry DNA test and it said the strongest area of my ancestry is in South-eastern Poland. I also asked a Polish friend to identify the traditional clothing and she said it was from Lublin. However, some others say it isn’t Polish. Could you help identify them to see if they’re from Czechia?
hard to tell with so little info you have :/
This doesn’t look like a traditional clothing from Moravia. If your ancestors were Czech, they could be from any part or Bohemia, really.
If you have the last name you could try it in kdejsme.cz to see the location for that name (frequency)
