    >Police told a lesbian campaign group to leave a gay Pride march after members clashed with transgender rights activists.

    >Members of GetTheLOutUK had joined the Pride Cymru event in the Welsh capital on Saturday, during which they displayed banners reading “transactivism erases lesbians” and “lesbians don’t like penises”.

    >A hallmark of its “gender-critical” approach is the belief that sex is biological and men cannot become women.

    >Members of the group were asked to leave by police after one of them and a transgender rights activist started shouting at each other. Organisers of the march said that GetTheLOutUK was not officially registered to attend.

    >Protesters posted a video on social media that showed a police officer telling one of the group that it must discontinue its march. According to the officer, the group’s presence was “causing confrontation between different groups of people”.

    >The male officer told the protester: “We are going to remove you from the road, and I want you to do that of your own accord.”

    >The protester responded: “I want to understand — you are removing lesbians from an LBGT march.” The officer responded: “Yes, for safety.”

    >Some claimed that they were threatened with arrest but ultimately no protestors were taken into custody.

    >South Wales police said that its officers “were required to engage with a small protest group who had assembled themselves on the route to block the procession”.

    >“To ensure no further disruption to the event, officers asked the group to move to an alternative location nearby which they agreed to do.”

    >The force added that “officers explained why they needed to move, provided guidance about protesting lawfully and offered to facilitate a lawful protest”. “The group was co-operative and left the area shortly after,” it added.

  2. So… The story is ” group is antagonistic and displays hurtful signs at another group within a wider, tolerance towards others based parade, are asked to leave, tries to grab soundbites to make themselves seem victimised, fails, leaves as requested, but the media runs that headline anyway, nothing else happens”
