Hello people, I am trying to actually understand the text from one of my favourite artists (To Athena is her name, please do check her out as she makes some of the best Swiss music in my opinion) and the dialect got the better of me at this song, could someone maybe help?
I light the Nightlight
And I close my eyes to finally see again

When everyone is fast asleep
And I wear the gloves
And run into the forests of cut down trees
And I turn over every leaf and every branch
And I keep doing this until I’m not dizzy anymore
It’s as follows:

Repeat.
Could anybody give the hochdeutsch version? Hoping to learn words correspondence that way 😅 🙏🏻

The “trick” to understanding Swiss German is to read it out loud. At least it works for me, when I hear it I get it, when I’m trying too hard to read what is written, then things only get worse. 🤣
Dear Schwyzerdütsch people, please stop making words up. It is already hard enough as it is.
