  1. Truly impressive if you ask me. Important to note that the invasion happened in between the two OAPEC oil crises of 1973 and 79 which by itself crippled many economies. Also Cyprus avoided a homeless crisis (in the long term) by building houses for refugee families to essentially provide free housing.
    There are far wealthier countries than Cyprus with far less problems and far more homeless people. They should be taking note in my humble opinion.

  2. I’ve always wondered what the future of Paphos would’ve been like had the invasion never occurred. The wave of refugees & the shift in governments attention/investments were like a tragic-miracle for what was essentially a small stagnating undeveloped town back then.
