Solidarity comrades, get what you are owed! Renationalise the Royal Mail, run it as a service not as a business.
And the nation shrugged.
Good on ‘em. Nationalise it.
Got to keep tryinf to get what they deserve.
Great – no letters from HMRC for a while.
Don’t blame them, they’ve been offered a shite new contract for fuck all extra money.
Ahh, that could explain why I didn’t get the delivery I was expecting. Oh well, it can wait. Solidarity.
100% non attendance at my delivery office, and the scabs they’d hired didn’t turn up. No mail or parcels came in which means nothing moved through the system and won’t start again until tomorrow, by which point we’ll be on bank holiday. Today’s mail will start to trickle through on Tuesday and then on Wednesday we hammer them with another strike day. Mark my words, Simon Thompson and his cronies will be round the table in a flash by next Thursday when the sheer amount of carnage is realised. Power to the posties, up the CWU!
I wonder what daily service we rely on will go on strike next week.
Workers solidarity! I’ll be voting in favour of a teachers strike when the gov inevitably reject our reasonable requests for the 12th year in a row.
Time to buy books of stamps at their current price folks and you also support your local run post office to pay their gas and electric
Inconvenienced me but so fucking what.
They need to eat and heat as well.
I know pure desperation drew them to this action.
Good. Companies are offering shite all and expecting us to be groveling in thanks for the fucking pittance they are giving like we should be thankful.
So, who’s left? It’s gonna be like the 70s again.
I did 20 yrs and I’m always having to tell people what a hard job it is. Power to the people
115,000 people? To deliver some junk mail? Lol way too many staff
I posted an item I sold this morning. Chap told me after it was done it’ll be next week because of postal strikes when I asked how long it’ll take.
Thanks mate 👍 now it’s delayed a week which I don’t care the receiver probably does, royal mail got another £2 and the workers have an extra parcel to send if they’re working or when they go back adding to the backlog already.
Could have offered me DPD or something. I’d have even paid more!
Now I come on Reddit and see. Shoulda checked this morning to confirm
Good, if they keep it up it’ll mean the letters of non-payment from the energy companies won’t be delivered!
They need to start paying shareholders less.
We do business and do it with Royal Mail. If they raise prices to pay workers it’s going to be an absolute carnage because their prices for the service they provide cannot match (for example) the service you get from Yodel in terms of Tracking, which is absolutely vital at this day and age.
It’s a demanding literal blood and sweat job that takes a toll on your physical health. And their hard earned well deserved money is going straight into the pockets of leeches who provide zero value to society.
I think I’ll survive without a Dominos menu for a couple of days/ weeks. I hope you get what you deserve!
Speaking to my mailman last week in the pub, he said if nothing is sorted within 3 months he’ll have no option but to leave his position. I’m thinking this will be the position for many over the coming months/years.
My friends girlfriend, recently got a message to say we’re giving company wide pay rises to counter the cost of living. What the fuck are other businesses thinking? I get there are small margins for some businesses, but these huge corporations are nothing more than monsters. Thank fuck the world is waking up.

Damm it just as I’m waiting the new megadeth album on the hmv exclusive limited edition coloured vinyl pre order to get shipped. it out on 2nd of September I don’t want it getting lost in the post that’s if gets delivered by royal mail.
I work in a Post Office and only one customer had anything shirty to say and she was “corrected” everytime she said something stupid. Keep fighting the good fight!
Strength and solidarity with you all from an rmt member!
I’m 100% behind all the striking Royal Mail staff! Get what you’re owed!
Best get the strikes in now because the public is going to become supremely pissed off when this goes on month after month. Sympathy will.be lost when people start wondering when it’ll be their turn. Our bin men are striking and could be arsed on the picket line for just 1 day.
About time 100% behind them the hours they work is ridiculous the miles they have to walk and the bags they have to carry can’t be easy. The whole country needs to go on strike
Don’t think privatization of royal mail was popular even with the right wing. Baffling.
Why does RM even need 115,000 workers? You’d think they’d be automating as much as possible.
Damn, how will I get my few remaining paper bills, crap from the council and junk mail now? Plus, our post lady is a menaceb driving. She ran a neighbour’s dog over and killed it.
Go ed posties!!! Love you
Good on them. Solidarity with everyone who stands up for themselves against Tory greed
Post men make about 45k on average per year. I understand this is fairly long hours but I struggle to see why they specifically need a pay rise? Seems to me they’re paid very well.
Then again maybe the average figures are wrong
Lost my big job opportunity bc my DBS didn’t arrive on time kill because now pls
Like I obviously stand with the workers, but damn I was actually going to get out of my rent debts and be able to afford food

Any idea on the average delay time?
