  1. What 1100 a month asset isn’t worth moving the hoover out of the room for 10 seconds to take a picture.

Sad part is someone will probably take it.

  2. Looks like an electric heater there. These sheds would be freezing in winter. Is there any way to report this to daft to remove it?

  3. I have a shed very like that one at the end of my garden. Same insulation and everything. I wouldn’t put my fucking dogs in it on a winter night, let alone charge a person to sleep there.

  4. Not sure if this is real but having owned a shed like this before and used it as an office I can tell you it will be absolutely freezing.

  5. Report it. I very much doubt whoever put this together has done it all legally. Or to required standards.

There was one like this in Limerick (and with more work out into it than this one) and it got reported and the council had it pulled down.

  6. I hope someone identifies the scummy shit and reports him to both the City Council and Revenue. Turning the garden shed into habitable accommodation is a change of use and would require planning permission. It would also require compliance with fire regulations. As for Revenue this would not qualify under the rent room scheme and therefore would be fully taxable. Love to see him done.

  7. Includes bills you say? Bring a Bitcoin mining setup with you. It will keep the place warm too

  8. I was living in Silicon Valley back in the late 90s, just before the dot com crash. People were renting out space on their dining room floor. The deal was: you couldn’t arrive before a set time in the evening (6 or 7 I think), you got access to a bathroom and shower but not the kitchen, you had to pack up all your stuff and get it out of the house by a certain time in the morning.

  9. That’s 100 hours work at minimum wage. 2 and a half weeks work at minimum wage will get you a shed. In a garden. With no hearing or natural light.

It’s actually worse. A student probably works 20-25 hours a week part time. That’s a whole month of part time minimum wage work. Jesus.

  10. Convenient that the rent is just below the 14k yearly cutoff for tax free subletting if you are also an occupant at the address

  11. Carcass of a recently dead animal. Cut your way into its stomach and the warmth of its entrails will help you survive the harsh winter nights. €1000 per month plus utilities. No pets.

  12. Ye are getting absolutely fucked back home. I live in Belgium now. I pay €1100 a month rent, same as this listing, and I live in a beautiful 2 bed 100m2 apartment that’s across two floors with 3.5m ceilings. The idea that my rent is the same as a garden shed in Dublin is insane. If you’re a student facing the prospect of living in a place like that, go study abroad instead. It’ll cost you the same or less and you’ll have a better quality of life.
