‘The findings come from a special commission conducted by Sir Tom Winsor, the former chief inspector of constabulary, after Dick’s decision to resign in February.’
Former member of the Police investigating the Police and finding in their favor….I’m shocked I tell you.
She was awful tbf.
> “He appears to have omitted many facts relevant to [Dick’s] departure as commissioner, including any of the abhorrent scandals that happened on her watch – including the photographing [by force members] of the murdered sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman and then sharing these with other serving officers, and the murder of Sarah Everard by a serving officer.”
Shocker. The level of contempt surrounding the gov is just staggering. They are now just saying what ever the hell they like and hoping no one looks to closely, and if they do just use more buzzwords to try shake it off.
Besides, as the article states. The whole “improper following of procedure” is based on that Khan didn’t submit his loss of confidence in writing before he fired her. But he didn’t need to because she resigned. Even the Tories at the time didn’t come to her defence. Just another smokescreen attempt. Fuck the Tories
She was shit at her job, the Home Sec didn’t do anything cos she was making such a pigs ear of the Partygate investigation, Boris might cling on.
The Mayor applied pressure and told her, she didn’t have his support. She resigned
Didn’t khan just say jeno longer had confidence in her so she resigned?
No one else was Met Chief at the time, seems like he got the right person
She was terrible at her job.
Events of 2005 should have finished her career (and quite a few at the Met who blatantly lied after the event).
Well Met police became what i see as the most corrupt force in the country under her watch.
