  1. This is HUGE, these birds have been mercylessly persecuted by the game bird industry. A massive achievement by wildlife agencies and public outcry, time and time again tagged birds dissappear over game bird reserves which are horrificly managed against native wildlife to maximise the yield of ground birds that just end up dumped in a festering pile on some quiet country road. Took a cycling tour to Dorset a few years ago and was shocked to be confronted with the reality of this face to face in a pile of intact grouse and body parts of unfortunate mammals.

  2. Need to protect them from gamekeepers. The bloodsport enthusiasts will persecute anything that threatens their grouse slaughter.

  3. And how many will be shot by gamekeepers next year, with no comeback from police because they don’t want to upset the people who run the shoots?
