sex ed is very much needed because it enables kids to identify abusers, which it seems a lot of cishet people dont want kids to be able to identify.
Sex ed is usually age appropriate so its just people freaking out and its usually a freak out about kids being told that gay people or trans people exist because god forbid they learn people exist.
