‘Protect business with an energy price cap’: Firms fear closure as bills set to soar

  1. I dont think it’s just small businesses that should be worried. Any non-essential service will be decimated. It wouldn’t surprise if restaurants start to severely reduce their opening times in an attempt to save money.

  2. “Many small firms in the capital”

I guess everything must be going wonderfully outside of London.

    **🔥This is fine🔥**

  3. i really can’t see a lot of takeaways surviving, even with a price cap, people can’t spend what they don’t have.

  4. Care homes are going to be destroyed by this. I can see many closing during the winter and local authorities having to try and pick up the pieces.

  5. At this rate our last hope at some semblance of normality is that energy tariff fund they’ve been spitballing around (which has it’s own pitfalls), otherwise the economy is going to be dead on entry – won’t even need to hit January before it happens. You can’t expect people to spend at Christmas if they have to choose between keeping the lights on or getting their sprogs the latest toy craze.

But hey, ball’s in your court, tories
