I just don’t understand how it took this long for people to realize it might be an issue
What i don’t get is why are the leaving cert results and the offers out so late when colleges start mid September?
You’re leaving people fuck all time to find accommodation or sort things with work etc. When I got my college offer years ago it was in august as far as I remember
Seems like it might be a radical idea but is there any possibility of college courses going online to cope with this? Trust me if I was a student I wouldn’t be at all happy about missing out on a college experience but if students can’t get accommodation or have to face ridiculous commutes it might have to be a solution, especially seeing as they were able to manage during covid.
