I’m really glad americans are buying houses in Venice.
I feel like non-residents shouldn’t be allowed to own property in a country.
Better than those fake Mcmansions. Our castles have had actual executions in them, can’t say that about the styrofoam and glassfibre castle at Disneyland.
The second they hear about European taxation they’ll deem the continent as a “communist hell hole” and nope the fuck out of here, at least speaking for the average middle income American cause the millionaires already own quite a few properties in Europe.
Are non-EU citizens allowed to own real estate? In Romania I know for sure you have to be an EU or EEA citizen to own any real estate that’s not an apartment.
I know of two Americans that have bought apartments/houses in the extremely small suburb I’m living in, Imagine the rest of the country.
Well, as long as they don’t expect me to show up with cake on their doorstep to welcome them to the neighborhood I’m pretty OK with it… I won’t object having them as company to a meze, beer and booze night out though
