  1. *”Any suggestion that being referred via this route resulted in a contract is wrong.”*

    OK, tell us about the firms that did not make it through the “triage”.

    Were there any?

    Why were they refused?

  2. Yeah love this, so much, it’s a thing of beauty;

    “Yes, we the government who lied about the existence of the priority lane, and then lied about who was in it and whether they won contracts as a result, now admit that it did indeed exist, and that many £billion contracts were awarded as a result.

    But the suggestion that they won the contracts *because* of the priority lane? How insulting, we are insulted that we, the government that admit we did the thing we categorically denied doing, are now being accused of that thing we set up for a specific purpose being used for that specific purpose?! Are you mad?”

    It’s the most egregious government gaslighting – and in a couple of days there’ll be a minister on TV opining about how “there’s no trust in politics anymore, everyone’s so cynical” – and they will claim to be completely stumped as to why.

    Another day on Normal Island.

  3. Let me guess, you “donate” to an MP or have a shared old-boys contact and they refer you to the VIP lane?

    In the Civil Service, we have a rather different name for money “gifted” by a person or company that may benefit from your actions (or inactions.) It’s called a bribe.

  4. I wonder how many of those in the VIP lane had connections to the Tory government?

    Welcome to Clown Island 🤡

  5. That’s not the information we need is it.

    I hope that this will be investigated once the cons get kicked out.

    Corruption has to be rooted out.

  6. As more time passes the scam will become more undeniable, hope people have enough maturity and self reflection to admit when they’ve been duped.
