This led to further flag shenanigans when some UCD students, led by Charles Haughey marched on Trinity, some of these marching students carried Nazi flags. The UCD students then burned the Union Jack on Grafton St.
Crazy bitta business
Not surprising. Radical west Brits burning flag of the enemy.
Trinity had always been full of West Brit gimps
Fun fact it’s only called the union jack when flown from a ship. Union flag is it’s normal name
They used to make a point of serving beef on a Friday in the canteens, because they knew Catholics were not allowed to eat it on a Friday (yeah that was a thing, fish was fine though so they didn’t serve fish on Fridays).
They were proper poisonous cunts.
The worst ones were the local paddys who tried really hard to fit in with their new Trinners chums and prove their loyalty.
I read about the VE Day riots and other attacks that happened in Dublin on that day recently. Crazy stuff altogether.
